What is Oral Surgery?
The diagnosis and surgical treatment of defects, injuries and diseases of the soft and hard tissues of the face, mouth, teeth and jaws is classified as oral surgery.
While we are committed to always using the least invasive treatment possible for a given dental issue, in some cases, less invasive treatment options are simply not enough to resolve the problem and oral surgery is required.
Tooth Extractions
While we always prefer to save a natural tooth, in some cases this will prove impossible. If a tooth is too badly damaged due to injury, decay or gum disease, your dentist may need to remove it.
Wisdom Tooth Removal
Wisdom teeth are the final set of molars that erupt in the back corners of a normal adult mouth. If the wisdom teeth are causing problems for your oral hygiene, your dentist may recommend removing them to help preserve your oral health.
